A multiple auto crash at Oba/Obosi junction along the Onitsha-Owerri Expressway in the Idemili South Local Government Area of Anambra State has left at least 4 persons including a dead.
The accident which occurred around 9 am on Sunday happened when a trailer reportedly lost control and crushed four vehicles, including two tricycles. Among the dead was a minor whose body was lying in the middle of the road.
Online videos report that the occupants of the vehicles were on their way to church when the accident occurred.
Side commentators blame the magnitude of the crash on the activities of tax collectors in Anambra State who use road blocks to enforce tax compliance.
The Sector Commander of the Federal Road Safety Corps in Anambra State, Adeoye Irelewuyi, confirmed the accident.
