SOLUDO AND WIFE CELEBRATE WITH JEZCO OIL BOSS, EZEOKAFOR, ATTENDS THANKSGIVING MASS FOR HIS PAPAL INVESTITURE, 69TH BIRTHDAY, AND PARENTS' MEMORIAL

Anambra State Governor, Professor Chukwuma Charles Soludo has assured that the ongoing Ekwulọbịa flyover project and adjourning roads will change the status of the city when completed.

Governor Soludo gave the assurance during a Holy Mass held in honour of the Chief Executive Officer of JEZCO Group, Chief Joseph Okafor, for his sixty-ninth (69th) birthday celebration.

The Governor attended the occasion in company of his wife, Mrs Nonye Soludo, which was also used to commemorate the papal investiture of Chief Okafor as well as his late parents, Mr. Julius Okafor and Mrs. Josephine Akueju Okafor.

The Mass was held at St. Joseph's Cathedral Church, Ekwulobia.

In his remarks, Governor Soludo celebrated Chief Ezeokafor, who he described as a brother, friend, benefactor, mentor and a great soul who brought peace to Ekwulọbịa.

The Governor pointed out that the roads from Ekwulobia to Uga and Amawbia will be dualized as much as the resources allow, stressing that Anambra is being planned for the long-term, to be at par with developed states across the world.

According to the Governor who pointed out that the Assembly approved for his administration to borrow money, insisted that if the money will be borrowed, it must be put into projects that will generate the funds and pay back.

Earlier in a Homily, the Catholic Bishop of Nnewi, Most Rev. Jonas-Benson Okoye, said that Chief Okafor's everyday life is filled with thanksgiving and that the church is the best institution where thanksgiving can be offered to God, calling on the people to collaborate with government to develop the state, starting from their various communities.

On his part, Chief Joseph Ezeokafor appreciated Governor Soludo and everyone for joining him in thanksgiving to God.

Former Governor Peter Obi, Senator Victor Umeh, APGA National Chairman, Barr. Sly Ezeokenwa, Bishops, other clergy traditional rulers, captains of industry, among others attended the mass which was celebrated by Peter Cardinal Okpalaeke.
